Teapot House

The sketch I used on this card is by Julee Tillman from the monthly challenge at
Viva la Verve

* Papers - All cardstock is from the DCWV "French Country" stack. Love this stack it has very pretty glittery patterns in it. The center square's dots all have gold glitter on them.
* Pink Doily - These are made of 100% polyester (they do feel sort of like felt, but not so heavy)  and come in a four-pack of assorted shades of pinks by Studio 18. The pack is called "Summer - La Ti Da".
* Teapot Image - Is an internet image download. I used Tsukineko Memento Dew Drop dye ink in the color "New Sprout" to color in the background of the image, since I downloaded the image on white cardstock.
* Small Scalloped Circles - These two circles were cut using my Cricut Explore. The cuts are from the  "Gypsy Wonderings" cartridge.
* Strip and Small Circle Embossing - Used my Cuttlebug to emboss with the"Floral Basket" envelope by Darice.
* Heart - Is a heart-shaped button from my Button Jar.

Feel Better Soon

This card is inspired by the sketch this week at
Feeling Sketchy
I am attending a Craft Show next week-end and I realized I was getting low on Get Well cards. Here is the first I will be making this week-end and coming week in order to replenish my supply.
* Papers - All from my scrap box.
* Embossing - Cuttlebug "Leafy Branches" folder.
* Frame - Is a Spellbinders die cut. I matted the frame to chipboard for depth.
* Flower -Store bought, I layered two and added a pearl center.
* Strip - Border punch from Michael's by "Recollections" brand
* Sentiment - I printed out on my computer and matted to purple cardstock.

Male Encoragement

I created this card for the challenge this week at
The Male Room

Ok, I am no water coloring expert, or even beginner for that matter, but I have attempted one water coloring card in 5+ yrs. of card making and with not much success. So, this week at The Male Room we are to create, yep... a water coloring card! I have decided to use water color pencils instead on my card...hope it counts!!
At first, as I was getting ready to use pink for the flowers and ribbon I remembered... OOPS!!...this is for The Male Room challenge. I though to myself...unfortunately males get cancer, too. My husband having gone through treatment for prostrate cancer, I went online and looked up the color ribbon for it. The color ribbon for prostrate cancer is light blue.
Here is the end result:
* Pattern Paper - I matted this blue pattern paper to dark brown cardstock. Punched the corners with an old McGill Creativity corner punch.
* Image - Digi from A Day for Daisies, called "Ribbon Tree". I used Prang water color pencils to color it in. Not noticeable on here , but I used a Gelly Roll pen in silver on the flower centers.
* Frame - Is a metal die Spellbinder. I added silver brads to the ends.
* Sentiment -  I found it on the internet and printed out on the computer... "Live each day with wings of faith and roots of hope". The sentiment did not have a name to give credit to.

My #1 Super Hero

This card was inspired by the sketch at
Saturday Sketch Challenge
* Card Base - Matted with plain blue cardstock. I allowed a quarter-inch border of the base card to show.
* Image - Dearie Doll Digis "Super Hero Play". I matted to a doily by Paper Studios called "Die Cuts".
* Star Strip - From my Scrap Box.
* Circles - Two sizes of Martha Stewart Circles punches.
* Embossing - Darice "Stars" folder.
* Sentiment - Computer -generated.
* Gold Stars - So hard to get metallic to photograph right...any suggestions? My daughter gifted me with two bags of these metallic star die cuts, they come in three sizes each. One bag of silver and one of gold stars. There are so many of them in each bag, they will last me forever! :)

Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 Challenge

* Base Card -  Color Core cardstock by Core'dinations  "Vintage Collection" stack.
* Pattern Cardstock - From MME "Market" stack.

* Embossing - Cuttlebug "Baby's Breath" folder.
* Sentiment - Written on Explore using a Cricut pen in "Mocassin" ink. I used an ink pad in "Sand" by Baby Boy Scrapbook Inks to blot the whole image.
